Cyclone Technology is a growing company, with a global customer base of airports, municipalities, and surface maintenance contractors. This position will be a successor to a retiring successful on-site COO position. The position reports to and is generally the right-hand person to our CEO.  

Weโ€™re searching for a Chief Operating Officer who has strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view. The COO will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success in a mid-size manufacturing business, preferably having worked his/her way up to an executive role. Understanding the need for quality controls and effective customer outreach and care is also a critical role of the COO position.


Objectives of this role

ยท      Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations and products strategy,

ยท      Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning

ยท      Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures teams members can thrive and organizational goals are met

ยท      Implement financial controls and understand the accounting impact and results of operating decisions. Periodic reporting of results to the CEO and board of directors.

ยท      Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention

ยท      Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary



Responsibilities

ยท      Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short-and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO

ยท      Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement

ยท      Coordinate operations, HR, manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, vendor relations, and personnel and accounting, with sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targets

ยท      Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves company targets for growth and profitability

ยท      Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts

ยท      Build and maintain trusting relationships with key suppliers, customers, dealers/distributors, partners, and other stakeholders



Required skills and qualifications

ยท       Five or more years of strong Capital Equipment Manufacturing management background and/ or experience in executive leadership roles

ยท      Demonstrated leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity

ยท      Understanding of advanced business finance and planning, and regulatory issues

ยท      Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics

ยท      Action orientation: Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues

ยท      Strong communicator

ยท      Ability and desire to travel as required


Preferred skills and qualifications

ยท      Education: Bachelorโ€™s in Business Administration, Management, or a related field: a Masters degree or MBA is highly preferred.

ยท      Experience: 5+ years of senior management of executive-level experience in an operational capacity.

ยท      Skills: Strong analytical prowess, proven change leadership, and exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

ยท      Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and public speaking skills with the ability to inspire diverse stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO


Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and skills.
