Savannah International Holdings provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and shared services support across a growing international portfolio of companies supporting national defense, logistics, supply chain modernization, cyber operations, technology infrastructure, and global business initiatives.


About this Position

Savannah International Holdings is seeking a highly strategic, operationally minded, and internationally experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the senior financial leader for the Savannah portfolio and a key advisor to the CEO.


This position is responsible for establishing and leading the financial architecture of a multi-entity international holdings company operating across multiple jurisdictions and growth stages. The CFO shall oversee financial strategy, capital planning, international financial operations, subsidiary oversight, investor readiness, and scalable financial infrastructure across the Savannah portfolio while operating as a highly hands-on executive leader capable of balancing strategic insight with execution.


Location

  • This is a hybrid position based in the Arlington, VA area. Periodic domestic and international travel required.


Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Portfolio Governance

  • Lead the financial strategy and operations of Savannah International Holdings and its portfolio companies.
  • Design, implement, and maintain standardized financial reporting processes across all subsidiaries and international entities.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reporting for the Savannah portfolio.
  • Establish financial governance structures, reporting standards, and operational financial controls across the organization.
  • Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to support leadership decision making.
  • Ensure consistency, transparency, and accountability of financial reporting across all operating entities
  • Partner closely with subsidiary leadership teams to align financial operations with strategic organizational objectives.

Cash Flow, Capital Planning & Financial Discipline

  • Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and liquidity planning models across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Monitor organizational burn rate, cash utilization, debt obligations, and working capital management.
  • Support capital allocation decisions across the Savannah portfolio based on strategic priorities and operational performance.
  • Oversee accounts receivable performance, collections strategy, vendor payment management, and liquidity optimization efforts. Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
  • Implement disciplined budgeting, forecasting, and expense management practices across the organization.

Strategic Financial Planning & Executive Advisory

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Translate organizational growth strategies into actionable financial models, forecasts, and operational scenarios.
  • Analyze financial implications of major business initiatives, investments, partnerships, acquisitions, hiring plans, and international expansion efforts.
  • Provide financial insight, operational analysis, and risk assessment to support executive decision making, organizational investments, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support long-term organizational planning and scalability initiatives across the portfolio

Investor Relations, Banking & Capital Raising

  • Prepare investor-ready financial packages, presentations, reports, and supporting financial materials.
  • Support debt financing, investor engagement, and capital raising initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison with lenders, banks, auditors, and external financial stakeholders.

International Financial Operations & Subsidiary Oversight

  • Oversee financial operations across domestic and international subsidiaries, including entities operating in the Philippines and Australia.
  • Ensure alignment of financial reporting, controls, compliance practices, and intercompany coordination across international operations.
  • Coordinate with local accountants, advisors, legal counsel, and financial partners internationally.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and financial improvement opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Ensure subsidiary leadership maintains accountability for financial performance and reporting accuracy.

Risk Management, Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Establish and maintain scalable internal financial controls and risk management practices.
  • Oversee tax strategy, financial compliance, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support compliance requirements associated with government contracting and regulated industries where applicable.
  • Partner with legal and operational leadership to mitigate financial, operational, contractual, and market risks.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead finance and accounting personnel across the Savannah portfolio.
  • Help institutionalize scalable financial systems, reporting structures, and operational processes to support organizational growth and operational maturity.
  • Partner with executive leadership to foster accountability, financial transparency, and cross functional alignment across the organization.


Requirements

  • Proven ability to operate independently within fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving business environments while effectively navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and organizational change.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, judgment, relationship management, and ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable guidance for non-financial leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial systems, operational structure, and financial discipline within scaling organizations while maintaining a hands-on, builder-oriented mindset.
  • Strong strategic thinking, forecasting, analytical, and operational finance capabilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and accountability.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems, reporting platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and executive reporting tools.
  • Experience operating within DCAA-compliant accounting environments and supporting government contract financial requirements preferred.
  • Experience with PROCAS government contract accounting software preferred.
  • Willingness to support international operations across multiple time zones and travel domestically and internationally as needed.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. CPA strongly preferred. MBA, CFA, or additional executive financial leadership credentials preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive financial leadership experience required, including experience supporting multi-entity organizations, holding companies, or international business operations.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing international financial operations across multiple jurisdictions, currencies, and regulatory environments required.
  • Experience supporting growth-stage organizations, organizational scaling, investor readiness, capital raising, debt financing, and strategic growth initiatives preferred.
  • Experience in defense, government contracting, logistics, technology, infrastructure, consulting, or similarly complex operational environments strongly preferred.
