Job description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are working with a growing company that is looking to add a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to their leadership team. This is a hands-on role where you'll serve as a strategic business partner while also overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, partnering closely with ownership, and helping guide the financial direction of a growing business.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead all aspects of the company's accounting and finance function

  • Partner with ownership to develop financial strategies that support long-term growth

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting

  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements and key performance metrics

  • Manage banking relationships, financing, and cash management

  • Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements

  • Develop and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting capabilities

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions

  • Oversee the accounting team and mentor staff as the company continues to grow

What they're looking for:
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities

  • Previous experience as a CFO, Controller ready to step into a CFO role, or senior finance leader in a small or mid-sized company

  • Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

  • Experience partnering directly with business owners or executive leadership

  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically while remaining involved in the day-to-day details

  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills

  • CPA preferred but not required
