Job description

We're looking for a hands-on, dependable, problem-solving Chief Engineer to join our Holiday Inn Express family.
This is not just a maintenance position. We're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a hotel running smoothly, safely, and efficiently while being part of a team that genuinely cares about each other.
Our culture is important to us. We work hard, help each other out, and try to create an environment where people actually enjoy coming to work. We want someone who leads with professionalism, stays calm under pressure, communicates well, and fits naturally into a positive team atmosphere.
If you're the kind of person who notices problems before everyone else does, likes fixing things the right way, and takes ownership of your work, you may be exactly who we're looking for.
What You'll Do:
  • Oversee the maintenance and daily operation of hotel systems and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the property
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
  • Ensure guest rooms and public areas remain safe, functional, and guest-ready
  • Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests
  • Help manage vendor relationships and maintenance scheduling
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and hotel procedures
  • Support the hotel team wherever needed
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous hotel maintenance or engineering experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
  • Leadership mentality with a team-first attitude
  • Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
  • Calm under pressure and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Positive attitude and professional communication skills
Why Work With Us?
We believe great hotels are built by great teams. Around here, people matter. We support each other, celebrate wins together, and believe respect goes a long way.
We're looking for someone who wants more than "just a job." We want someone who wants to be part of a team, take pride in their work, and help create a hotel guests enjoy staying at.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
Apply today and join the Holiday Inn Express family.
