Job description

The Sales Representative – Culinary Specialist will support the growth of the company as a key salesperson and will be acting as the “voice of the operator” inside the business. Through their culinary background and expertise, this person will help building credibility with large prospective chain accounts and ensure a strong and professional customer experience post-purchase. This role has a high traveling requirement within Canada and in the USA to perform live demonstrations and to support customers in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Activities
  • Establish first contact and follow up with inbound leads outside of rep territories
  • Qualify opportunities and move them through the sales pipeline
  • Ensure no lead goes cold and close sales
  • Ensure all opportunities are tracked and progressing in the CRM
  • Maintain pipeline visibility, reporting accuracy and sales forecast
Culinary Support
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external rep groups and equipment dealers for all culinary questions and issues
  • Perform training with partner Corporate Chefs
  • Travel with the CEO to lead live demonstrations with prospective chain accounts
  • Participate in key sales meetings with prospective chain accounts to build credibility with chefs/operators
  • Coordinate and support product demonstrations (with test kitchen partners, dealers or at the factory)
  • Provide culinary support as needed to existing chain accounts
  • Coordinate baking operations and execute live cooking at trade shows
Customer Experience and Issue Resolution
  • Perform start-ups and help customers dial the ovens to meet their baking specifications and menus
  • Troubleshoot food quality issues post-install
  • Ensure customers are taken care of by our service department in case of equipment performance issues
  • Escalate service issues to the CEO and the COO when needed
  • Ensure a strong and professional customer experience
Factory Support
  • Cooperate with the engineering department to support product development
  • Develop, refine, and validate standardized recipes for equipment
  • Identify food trends and develop new applications for our equipment beyond pizza
  • Coordinate with our marketing department to create recipes, videos and cooking content for marketing campaigns
