Chief Engineer
Job Title: Chief Engineer - Facilities Maintenance
Job Type: Full-Time
Place of Performance: Culpeper, VA
Schedule: Full-Time (On-call for emergencies)
Summary:
The Chief Engineer will provide technical leadership for all building systems and maintenance operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of commercial or institutional facilities maintenance experience.
  • At least three (3) years supervising maintenance personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and technical manuals.
Duties:
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and daily operations.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot complex building system failures.
  • Coordinate major repairs and subcontracted work.
