Job description

Chevron is accepting online applications for the International Income Tax Advisor/Lead Tax Advisorposition throughJune 19th, 2026at 11:59 p.m. (CentralTime).

About the Role

Chevron is seeking highly motivated International Tax Advisor/Lead Tax Advisor and to join our International Tax Operations team. These roles support U.S. international income tax compliance, reporting, provision, and planning for Chevron's global operations and partner closely with various groups within Tax and the broader Finance organization to deliver high-quality analytical and technical deliverables. The ideal candidate combines strong international tax technical knowledge with analytical discipline, attention to detail, sound judgment, and clear communication in a complex multinational environment

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support U.S. international tax compliance for Chevron's global operations, including preparing, reviewing, and modeling calculations for GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, E&P/PTEP pools, and foreign tax credits.
  • Prepare, review, and document accurate, audit-ready workpapers and U.S. international income tax filings and associated forms.
  • Support the international components of the income tax provision under ASC 740, including related controls, account analyses, and supporting documentation.
  • Support tax audits and controversy matters by gathering, analyzing, and organizing documentation and responses to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting and/or cross-functional teams to understand Chevron's global operations, transactions, and data flows and to deliver practical, technically sound tax outcomes.
  • Analyze the U.S. international tax implications of proposed transactions, restructurings, acquisitions, divestitures, legislative developments, and other business initiatives, including modeling tax impacts.
  • Monitor, research, and model the impact of enacted and proposed U.S. and international tax law changes.
  • Identify and implement processes, data, and systems enhancements to improve tax compliance, reporting, automation, and audit readiness.
  • Leverage AI-enabled and other digital tools to streamline data gathering, analysis, modeling, and reporting, in alignment with company's policies and guidelines.
  • Promote effective teamwork and foster collaboration across departments, external advisors, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MST or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of corporate income tax experience, including significant U.S. international tax compliance and reporting experience in a multinational corporate tax department and/or public accounting firm.
  • Expertise in CorpTax and SAP is highly desired; experience with tax technology, data tools, and process automation is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax rules, including areas such as GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, E&P/PTEP, and related reporting obligations.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, or supporting U.S. international tax forms and calculations (e.g., Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills andproficiencyin data analysis and modeling; experience with Power Query, Power BI, or similar digital tools is preferred.
  • Experience performing complex tax calculations, analysis, and tax research.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, manage multiple priorities independently, and leadcomplexprojects or initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing well-documented, audit-ready workproducts.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP / ASC 740.
