Job description

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc., is a global leader in chemical solutions which enable the semiconductor industry and the digital universe. We have an exciting opportunity at our North Kingstown, RI facility for a Procurement Manager!

The Role

The Procurement Manager owns strategic and tactical procurement for our Photopolymer business and serves as the senior procurement presence at the North Kingstown, RI site. The role manages critical raw material supplier relationships — including contract manufacturers, specialty chemical producers, and international suppliers in Japan and Asia — and leads supplier negotiations, cost management, supply-continuity planning, and new-material sourcing in close partnership with the Photopolymer SBU, Raw Material Engineering, Quality, and site Operations.

This role is the senior procurement presence for the North Kingstown site, representing Procurement in site leadership forums, product change notification (PCN) reviews, and supplier quality processes; transactional execution, services/blanket administration, and procurement master data are owned by the Operational Procurement organization, with which this role partners. This is a key-person role: the incumbent is the primary procurement interface for several single- and sole-source supply relationships that directly support revenue-critical product lines.

This is a 100% on-site position. We believe the greatest value of this role comes from daily collaboration with internal stakeholders, enabling stronger partnerships and more effective support of business operations.

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A. fuels innovation in the semiconductor industry—where chemistry meets technology. Our advanced materials and formulations enable manufacturers to build the microchips that power Artificial Intelligence, computers, electric vehicles, smartphones, and more.

We’re a global business-to-business supplier of chemical formulations and advanced materials used for manufacturing and packaging semiconductors. Our chemical formulations allow top manufacturers to produce microchips that both power and connect our digital world. Think you’ve got what it takes to build a more connected world? Then connect with us today and challenge the boundaries of what’s possible—for the world and your future.

We have six U.S. manufacturing and Research & Development facilities, located in: Mesa, Arizona; Castroville, California; Hollister, California; Carrollton, Texas; and North Kingstown, Rhode Island—each offering unique local experiences, from vibrant cultural scenes to historic charm.

Fujifilm is globally headquartered in Tokyo with over 70,000 employees across four key business segments of healthcare, electronics, business innovation, and imaging. We are guided and united by our Group Purpose of “giving our world more smiles.” Visit: https://www.fujifilm.com/us/en/about/region/careers

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Own strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management for Photopolymer raw materials across FEUS sites, including commercial supplier reviews and performance management in partnership with Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, agreements, capacity, and cost-reduction/cost-avoidance programs; document savings per the FEUS Procurement Value governance procedure.
  • Manage international supplier relationships and consignment programs (including Japan-based toll manufacturers and trading companies), coordinating with global affiliate procurement teams.
  • Manage distribution chemistry procurement and third-party inventory programs, including monthly consignment reconciliation and third-party inventory reviews.
  • Serve as senior procurement presence for the North Kingstown site: site leadership forums, escalation point for raw-material issues, and intracompany (affiliate) purchase coordination; partner with Operational Procurement, which owns site transactional execution and services/blanket administration.
  • Represent Procurement in Photopolymer SBU meetings, Process Engineering and site PCN meetings, raw material specification alignment, and weekly legal/contract review coordination.
  • Partner with Quality and SQE on supplier corrective actions, qualification of alternate sources, and supply-risk mitigation for single/sole-source materials.
  • Support new product introduction and material scale-up programs with external development and toll-manufacturing partners, aligning supplier capacity with FEUS demand plans.
  • Ensure category agreements and pricing are accurately reflected in ERP in partnership with Operational Procurement, which owns master-data and source-list execution.
  • Provide procurement reporting (KPIs, spend, PPV/savings) and escalate supply, cost, and contract risks to the Sr. Director, Procurement with recommended actions.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field required; advanced degree or CPSM/CPM preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive procurement experience required, including direct materials in chemicals, electronic materials, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or comparable specification-driven manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex supplier negotiations and managing strategic, single/sole-source supplier relationships required.
  • Experience with international suppliers (Japan/Asia preferred), toll/contract manufacturing arrangements, and long-term supply agreements strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (ECC and/or S/4) and Ariba preferred; strong analytical and spend-analysis skills required.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance; able to operate independently as the senior procurement presence on site.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level reporting and supplier-facing correspondence.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

We value a professional, adaptable, and collaborative work environment. The following competencies are essential for success in any role and reflect our commitment to effective teamwork, problem solving, and workplace communication.

  • Resilience -Ability to adapt to workplace challenges, maintain professionalism, and manage responsibilities effectively.
  • Communication -Capacity to clearly and professionally exchange ideas, interact respectfully with colleagues and customers, and foster positive workplace relationships.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making -Ability to analyze information, follow verbal and written instructions, and make logical, sound decisions.
  • Comprehension -Capability to understand and complete tasks as assigned and solve problems effectively.
  • Organizational Skills -Competence in managing multiple priorities, maintaining accuracy, and staying focused despite potential workplace distractions.

To all agencies: Please, no phone calls or emails to any employee of Fujifilm about this requisition.
