Diversified CPC International, Inc. has an immediate need for a Level 1: Plant Operator at our Beaumont, TX facility. We are an ISO 9000 Certified Company and we will train you to be a safe Chemical Process Operator.

You will learn how to handle, transfer, and store liquefied petroleum gases, refrigerants, and other materials in compliance with all state and Federal regulations. The Plant Process Operator will troubleshoot, monitor, and control both continuous and batch processes and/or fractionation systems. The Plant Process Operator will also connect, disconnect, load, unload, sample and manage storage tanks, trailer transports, railcars and cylinders. Responsibilities also include knowledge and commitment to standards regarding health, safety, environment and quality without exception. The Plant Operator must be willing to work extended hours and overtime with short notice.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Is directed by Supervisor, when necessary
  • Monitors operation of the production facility and makes adjustments as necessary
  • Fills out logs and forms and makes other documentation as required
  • Ensures that emissions are kept to a minimum
  • Loads and unloads rail cars and truck trailers as necessary
  • Performs necessary tests and inspections to process receipts and shipments
  • Keeps work area neat, clean, orderly, and safe
  • Performs minor maintenance procedures as required
  • Connects and disconnects rail cars and truck trailers as necessary
  • Relocates truck trailers as required
  • Reads instruments, gauges, level indicators, temperature indicators, etc., and logs same as necessary
  • Opens, closes, or adjusts valves to direct, redirect, stop or change flow, temperature, pressure, etc., of systems as needed
  • Makes necessary calculations and measurements to meet demand
  • Understands and follows plant operating procedures
  • Performs laboratory analysis of products: both received and shipped
  • And any other duties that may become necessary from time to time
Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and maintain balance
  • Basic P.C. skills required
  • Able to be certified odor panelist
  • Good eye/hand coordination
  • Average hearing and vision required
  • Excellent math and reading skills needed
  • Good communication skills needed
  • Good telephone communication skills needed
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds dead weight
