What we are looking for:

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a cold/wet environment.
  • Good communication skills and a team focused attitude.

Main responsibilities include:

  • The soup cook will be responsible for transferring cooked product form the kettles to the agitator tank, deposit product form the agitator tank into sealed pouches using a bag-fling and retail cup filling machine. Must be able to transfer finished pouches of product to the cooling tank, ensuring that the product has the correct label, weight, temperature and proper distribution and must be able to combine ingredients and cook soups according to the recipes provide. The individual must also coordinate product pulls with other cooks and machine operators.
  • Operate machinery, controls, setting up and assembling equipment.
  • Cleans and sanitizes machines according to company guidelines.
  • Keep detailed records, complete the audits, and fill out the forms correctly.
  • Check products during the run to ensure quality, check for defects, and detect problems.
  • Read, understand, and follow recipes.
  • Measure ingredients, lot tracing, gather ingredients, use scales, knives, and other hand tools.
  • Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times.
  • Follow all SFC Core Values and be a team player.
  • Other duties as assigned.
