Job Summary

The Packaging position is responsible for filling, labeling, and preparing chemical products for shipment according to company procedures and customer requirements. This role ensures accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety and handling regulations while working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Fill containers (drums, pails, totes, etc.) with finished chemical products according to batch instructions.
  • Apply labels, safety markings, and product identification per specifications.
  • Inspect packaging for cleanliness, correct labeling, and product integrity.
  • Operate filling equipment, scales, and capping/sealing tools.
  • Palletize, wrap, and stage packaged products for shipment or warehouse storage.
  • Record packaging data such as lot numbers, quantities, and packaging materials used.
  • Ensure all packaging meets DOT, OSHA, and company standards.
  • Report any spills, leaks, or packaging issues immediately to supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of packaging area and follow all housekeeping procedures.
  • Work closely with production and shipping teams to meet deadlines and ensure order accuracy.
  • Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in chemical blending, mixing, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret batch tickets, SDSs, and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks.
