Position Summary
The Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of Eterna and Moll folder gluer equipment to produce high-quality folded and glued products in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, minimizing waste, and ensuring on-time delivery while upholding safety and operational excellence standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Eterna and Moll folder gluer machines according to job specifications.
  • Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production schedules.
  • Adjust machine components including feeders, glue systems, folding rails, compression sections, and delivery systems.
  • Monitor glue application, alignment, folding accuracy, and final product quality.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure conformance to specifications and SPC standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Accurately record production data, downtime, and material usage.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, production schedules, and basic diagrams.
  • Understanding of quality standards and ability to perform accurate inspections.
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools (rulers, calipers, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting and data entry.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and maintaining an organized work area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating folder gluers (Eterna, Moll, or similar converting/finishing equipment).
  • Experience in commercial printing, packaging, or converting environments.
