Job description

Position Summary:

A Chemical Manufacturing Technician is expected to possess basic competency with respect to manufacturing processes and equipment as well as meet safety and other performance standards.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

Production: Perform assigned daily work orders or other assigned work in an efficient manner for all products. Fully record details of all production activities in batch records, inventory cards and all other production documents, consistent with standard operating procedures.

Process Knowledge: A manufacturing technician is expected to possess competent knowledge and ability in manufacturing areas. These include chemical processing, using pumps, filters, packaging and related manufacturing equipment.

Safety & Housekeeping: Perform all work adhering to Dextran Product's workplace health and safety policy, practices for safely handling chemicals and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure that the work area is properly maintained and cleaned after production.

Equipment Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Be able to ensure that production equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.

Communication: Ensure that production problems are reported to management. Maintain effective and open communication with other manufacturing technicians, Dextran Product's management and all other employees.

Performance Standards: Attains a high commitment to attendance, being on-time and following standard operating procedures.

We offer a competitive minimum starting salary of $24 per hour. However, candidates with relevant experience and exceptional qualifications may be eligible for a higher starting salary, reflecting their expertise and contributions to our team

Qualifications:

Education: This position requires a minimum of a high school degree or equivalent with the ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical operations at a high school level.

Experience: This position requires a minimum of one to two or more years of manufacturing experience with basic process knowledge of Dextran products, manufacturing processes and equipment.

Skills & Competencies: The ideal candidate must have demonstrated the following:

o Accountability for personal results and quality of work

o Capable of learning effectively

o Communicates effectively with other shift technicians

Must be able to work at different shifts during the week
