Job description

At Parkdean Resorts, we’re looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team. Whether you’re prepping ingredients, keeping the kitchen spotless, or supporting our chefs during service, you’ll play an essential part in delivering great food for our guests. 

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef, Sous Chef, and Commis Chefs to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly. From preparing ingredients to maintaining cleanliness and organisation, you'll help create a safe, efficient environment where the team can deliver highquality dishes quickly and consistently. 

What you will be doing...
  • Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients for service. 
  • Receiving deliveries, checking stock for quality and expiry dates, and storing items correctly. 
  • Rotating stock to maintain freshness and support waste reduction. 
  • Keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic, including appliances, ovens, work surfaces, and dishes. 
  • Supporting basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior chefs. 
  • Communicating clearly with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service. 
  • Reporting any suspected weaknesses or breaches in the company’s information systems. 
  • Upholding all safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene responsibilities to protect guests and colleagues.

  • The ability to work well in a fastpaced, highpressure kitchen. 
  • Good manual dexterity and basic food preparation skills.
