Role Overview:
The Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in the kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and serving high-quality meals to residents and guests. This position ensures compliance with nutrition standards, dietary needs, and safety guidelines while helping to create a positive dining experience that enhances the overall quality of life in the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation, cooking, and plating.

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices.

  • Collaborate on menu planning, incorporating resident preferences and dietary requirements.

  • Monitor food inventory, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.

  • Uphold regulatory standards and ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

  • Step in to lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef.
