Recovery Unplugged Behavioral Health is a nationally recognized leader in addiction and mental health treatment, combining evidence-based clinical care with the healing power of music. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of our clients and staff.


Position Summary


The Chef k is responsible for preparing meals, assisting with food production, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and values being part of a mission-driven organization.


Key Responsibilities


Prepare meals according to recipes, menus, and instructions provided by kitchen leadership.

Assist with food preparation, ingredient portioning, and meal service.

Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, and other food preparation equipment.

Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.

Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

Complete opening, closing, and daily kitchen duties as assigned.

Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory according to established procedures.

Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to management.

Collaborate with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient operations and excellent service.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly.

Ability to work in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures, including heat and humidity.


Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Ability to work weekends and 50 hours a week

Current Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain one upon hire.

Minimum of one year of cooking, food preparation, or kitchen experience preferred.

Experience working with commercial kitchen equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Reliable, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
