Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Relief Production Supervisor, based in Nampa, ID. The Relief Production Supervisor supports the department manager in improving both the technical and financial performance of the cheese production department. This role leads the team to meet production goals related to volume, cost, timelines, and quality, while ensuring a safe and compliant manufacturing environment. The Relief Supervisor steps in for other supervisors as needed and performs key supervisory duties in alignment with company standards.


From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:


ยท Supervise and organize the work of the production team on designated shift

ยท Supervise team: integrate, train, appraise, discipline and ensure development

ยท Lead team: delegate, instill a sense of responsibility, set targets, communicate instructions, control, listen

ยท Gauge training needs and participate in proposing training timelines

ยท Keep line management informed

ยท Apply well-defined standards (costs, budgets)

ยท Record, analyze and evaluate production data and determine the negative or positive net effect

ยท Lead and control various production parameters and implement corrective actions

ยท Propose technical and organizational improvements to line management

ยท Be involved in trials (machines, products, processes etc.)

ยท Apply the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed

ยท Participate in analyzing occupational hazards

ยท Apply and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices

ยท Follow food safety laws, rules and regulations

ยท Key contributor to the maintenance of the FSSC22000 system

ยท Work closely with Quality to ensure the quality and specifications of product are continually being met

ยท Comply with all Lactalis Policies and Procedures

Education/Experience

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in Diary Science/ Chemistry or science related field preferred

ยท 2 Years experience in cheese production and/or food industry

ยท 2 Years experience in management/ supervisory role
