Line Cook – The Wedge (by The Curd Nerd)
Location: Eastwood, Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time Available

About The Wedge:
The Wedge is a cheese-forward bar and eatery in Eastwood brought to you by the team behind The Curd Nerd. We're all about artisan cheese, creative small plates, great drinks, and building a warm, welcoming community space. We believe in hospitality without pretense, quality without compromise, and supporting local producers whenever we can.

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a passionate, reliable, and efficient Line Cook to join our small but mighty kitchen team. You’ll be working in a creative, fast-paced environment where cheese is the star of the show, and precision, cleanliness, and collaboration matter just as much as creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle prep work and daily mise en place 

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station and shared kitchen areas

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and front of house

  • Be flexible, take feedback, and pitch in wherever needed — we’re a team

Qualifications:

  • Prior kitchen experience strongly preferred

  • Ability to work efficiently in a small, open-kitchen environment

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods

  • Interest in cheese, seasonal cooking, and artisan food a big plus
