Job description

Job Title: Order Picker/Material Handling Specialist (Entry-Level, No Experience Needed)

We are hiring Order Pickers to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.  Training provided.

Reports To:  Warehouse Manager/Supervisor

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Department of Labor:  53-7062  SOC 960

Description:  Manually move, pick, and scan materials in warehouses, loading docks, and storage facilities.  Works in warehouses to select, prepare, and move customer orders for shipment, using electric pallet jacks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Pick and Stage Orders using warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Use a pallet jack (electric)
  • Use a wrapping machine
  • Verify accuracy, verify SKUs, check for damages, and update inventory
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Follow SOPs and safety procedures

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • No experience required
  • Regularly lift up to 20 lbs and 40-50 lbs occasionally
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting pick per hour goals.
  • Be dependable and reliable to work Monday through Friday for the assigned shift
