What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Screen visitors, employees, and/or permitted items at designated checkpoints using established security-related procedures and screening equipment.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or required documentation before allowing entry to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and public officials as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around checkpoint areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
