As a Security Officer Checkpoint Security in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen people and property, and support a secure environment through visible presence and attentive service. This role offers the chance to use communication and screening skills while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with established post orders and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or shipment-related documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting conditions, activity, and/or policy concerns that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
