Job description

Position Summary:
The Security Checkpoint Supervisor is responsible for controlling access to the property while providing excellent customer service to guests, residents, vendors, and employees. The role includes verifying reservations or credentials, directing traffic, issuing passes, answering guest questions, monitoring security, maintaining accurate entry logs, and communicating with security and front desk staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming arrival experience.
The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following functions: follows broadly based directions; trains and develops subordinate Security Department personnel; reads and analyzes a wide variety of instructional and training information; interacts and communicates with people representing a wide variety of units and organizations; conducts disciplinary and counseling sessions when necessary; develops department schedules, ensures operational status and conducts weekly random checks of alarm systems.
Essential Functions:

  • Supervise all activities of checkpoints.
  • Oversee standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise and scheduling of checkpoint concierge associates.
  • Conduct monthly gate inspections and training.
  • Advise on course of action on security and safety concerns.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in resort policies and procedures.
  • Issue disciplinary actions when appropriate.
  • Maintain and log records of all documentation.
  • Other Job duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • High School Graduate.
  • PA Act 235 certification preferred, not required.
  • Supervisory Experience preferred.
  • At least 1 years' experience working on a resort required on checkpoint concierge.
  • Able to work various shifts, including flex shift/float position.
  • Must possess excellent leadership skills and be able to make sound decisions,
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to speak and write English.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Must participate in a resort provided hospitality security officer certification program and obtain a passing score within 60 days of hire.
