Job Type: Full-Time/ Part-Time
Department: Front Office
Reports To: Front Office Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for creating a welcoming experience for guests while efficiently managing check-ins, check-outs, reservations, guest requests, and general front desk operations.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests in a warm, professional manner.
  • Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, modifications, and room assignments.
  • Answer guest questions and provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Process payments, maintain accurate guest accounts, and balance cash or payment transactions.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to guest emails or other inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records and protect guest confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, management, and other hotel departments.
  • Monitor room availability and assist with resolving room or reservation issues.
  • Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and customer-service standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer-service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional, friendly, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous when handling difficult situations.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel reservation/front-office systems.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine front desk duties.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with a hotel property-management system (PMS).
  • Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Hospitality or customer-service training or certification is preferred.
