- Verify cash tills
- Monitor Front-End for till accumulations and make timely pickups from cashiers.
- Ensure that the count rooms are locked at all times.
- Pick up cashier receipts and prepare bank deposits in accordance with check-up procedures.
- Prepare bank deposits according to store's policies and procedures.
- Maintain a daily log of deposits.
- Maintain a daily log of vendor, local, and store coupons.
- Maintain a daily log of refunds and charges.
- Know and enforce strict security policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to money handling.
- Count and band money.
- Exchange cash for checks with the front office before finalizing deposit.
Additional Job Functions:
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of computer recovery procedures.
- Keep work station and area around work station neat and clean.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all transactions and data contained in the computer, except to authorized persons.
- Answer the telephone.
- Encode checks.
