SPA's Operations Research and C5ISR Analysis (ORCA) Group has an immediate need for an AEGIS Watchstander at Port Hueneme, CA. C #Dice Responsibilities This position supports Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), which is part of the larger Naval Sea Systems Command. The NSWC PHD mission is to provide research, development, test and evaluation, and in-service engineering and logistics support to the U.S.

Navy, other military services, and government agencies. Its focus areas include combat systems, unmanned systems, surface ship systems, and information systems. SPA is seeking a 24/7 Watchstander to provide on-site engineering, technical, and supportability analysis support from a designated shore facility.

Watchstanders serve as front-line support to Fleet units by monitoring communications, documenting and triaging requests, coordinating with technical SMEs, and maintaining readiness reporting in support of AEGIS Fleet Readiness and Distance Support operations. * Stand a formal 24/7 watch from a designated shore facility in support of AEGIS Fleet Readiness and Distance Support operations. * Monitor and respond to fleet requests received through chat, email, and phone channels within established timelines and in accordance with current Watch Orders, Temporary Watch Orders, Standard Operating Procedures, and Team Lead guidance.

* Provide front-line customer service to Fleet units by receiving requests for technical assistance, conducting initial triage, and coordinating with the appropriate on-call Subject Matter Expert (SME), Branch Manager, or technical stakeholder. * Generate, update, and maintain tickets in the Information Technology System Manager (ITSM) database or other designated support tools. * Conduct proper shift turnover and maintain continuity of watch operations across day and night watch sections.

* Review message traffic, including CASREPs, CASUPs, and related readiness information, and update Combat Systems Fleet Readiness Status Charts and status files as required. * Prepare and distribute required daily reports when assigned to night watch or day watch, including AEGISTT 24/7 Daily Reports and Ship Defense daily reports, as applicable. * Upload required report documentation to the classified AEGISTT 24/7 Distance Support website and maintain information accuracy in accordance with established procedures.

* Attend required training, maintain releasability and disclosure training, support Under Instruction watch stander training as assigned, and become TQS qualified within the required timeframe after obtaining SIPR access. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future * Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret * Ability to obtain and maintain SIPR access and comply with all applicable classified system, releasability, disclosure, and security requirements * Technical school diploma, associate degree, equivalent military training, or relevant technical/watchstanding experience supporting Navy, combat systems, readiness, operations, or technical help desk environments * Ability to work on-site at a Government facility on a 12-hour rotational shift schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergent coverage as required; telework is not authorized for this position * Ability to provide timely, professional support over chat, email, and phone while documenting requests accurately in ITSM or other designated ticketing tools * Ability to read and follow Watch Orders, Temporary Watch Orders, Standard Operating Procedures, and direction from the 24/7 Team Lead or Readiness Response Operations Branch Manager * Strong attention to detail, written communication skills, and ability to maintain accurate shift turnover, ticketing, status reporting, and readiness documentation Preferred Qualifications: * Prior U.S.

Navy, combat systems, AEGIS, shipboard operations, fleet readiness, technical support, or watchstanding experience * Experience reviewing CASREPs, CASUPs, readiness status information, or operational message traffic * Experience coordinating technical assistance with SMEs, waterfront stakeholders, Fleet units, or program/engineering support teams * Experience using ITSM, ticketing systems, readiness databases, SharePoint/classified websites, or other operational support tools * Current or prior SIPR access and familiarity with classified reporting environments * Ability to become TQS qualified within three months of obtaining a SIPR account At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent.
