Job description

The Fiber Jetting/Blowing Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of fiber optic cables using jetting and blowing techniques. This role involves equipment setup, site inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient and safe fiber optic operations. The technician will work closely with large teams to coordinate tasks and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Install fiber optic cables using jetting and blowing methods
  • Set up and maintain jetting equipment for fiber installation
  • Conduct site inspections to assess conditions and requirements
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of cable installations
  • Adhere to safety compliance guidelines on all job sites
  • Document installation processes and maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with large teams of 8 or more personnel for efficient project execution
