Bus Driver

Join our team as a Bus Driver! Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bus Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for students. This position ensures students arrive safely to and from school while supporting a positive and orderly environment on the bus.

Terms of Employment: Full-Time, More than 30 hours per week

Salary: $22.60 per hour

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and Drug Test
  • Must be able to obtain a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement (Paid training available to qualified candidates)
  • Must possess an excellent driving record
  • Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States

Knowledge / Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience driving a bus preferred, but not required
  • Ability to follow all safety regulations
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Maintain a safe environment within the bus by enforcing rules of conduct and responding to emergencies
  • Ability to be attentive to traffic and weather conditions while ensuring the safety of passengers
  • Knowledge of traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
