CHENEGA BASE & LOGISTICS SERVICES, LLC
Ft Rucker, AL
The Bus Driver drives a bus to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Complies with local traffic regulations and reports delays or accidents.
  • Inspects bus and checks gas, oil, and water before departure.
  • Services vehicle batteries as required.
  • Performs minor repairs such as tightening mirrors and screws, changing vehicle light bulbs.
  • Operates car/bus wash as required.
  • Operates generator as required and jump-start busses as required.
  • May load and unload baggage or express items checked by passengers.
  • May drive diesel- or gas-powered vehicle to transport passengers over established post and city routes.
  • Operates water truck as required to include climbing on tank and lifting hose approximately three feet above one's head.
  • Operates drivers training bus and train other personnel in bus operations.
  • Complies with all installation and State rules and regulations and ensures that seatbelts are worn when operating any vehicle. Attend all Safety Meetings and/or Training classes as scheduled.
  • Cleans up oil spills and keep vehicle parking area clean of debris and oil.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum four (4) years' driving experience preferred.
  • Possess and maintain a Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) minimum Class B with Passenger Endorsement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must present a neat appearance and pleasant attitude when dealing with customers and other employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
