Job description

We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) / RN (Registered Nurse)to work directly with a physician or APP assisting with his daily office schedule. The ideal candidate will be professional and efficient and able to multitask in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Record a patient’s medical history accurately
  • Chart review and preparation
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
  • Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, and catheters.
  • Assist MD with office visits, procedures and minor surgical procedures.
  • Communicate with patients’ family or friends to relay information as needed.
  • Assist fellow team members with phone calls, stocking, set-up, sterilizing and other responsibilities as needed.

Skills

  • Proven experience as LPN or similar role
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
  • Good computer skills and accurate data entry
  • Good physical condition and stamina
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress
  • Successful completion of LPN license program is a must
