Job description

Streaming Device Quality Assurance Engineer

3+ years of experience

Notes:

  • Eager, self-starter, flexible, able to ask questions & be proactive
  • E2E Regression QA – will be manual testing on Samsung and Xumo devices
  • Video/Streaming exp required
  • Logging experience required (Splunk or similar tool)
  • Postman or Charles Proxy experience
  • API knowledge (not extensive, but looking for someone who can ensure devices are interacting appropriately with APIs)
  • This person will take ownership of one streaming platform, but will be required to work on other platforms simultaneously (up to 6 different platforms)

Must have Skills:

  • Experience testing streaming video on native OTT devices, like Roku, Apple TV, Smart TVs, and mobile phones.
  • Experience with API validations
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, like SCRUM or Kanban, and related tools, like JIRA
  • Tools: Splunk, Charles Proxy, or similar

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working and collaborating with offshore teams
  • Use of Data Analytics to support validation using tools like AWS OpenSearch, Kibana, or Tableau
  • Experience testing ad insertion into streaming video
