Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Processor to join our servicing team. This role is responsible for managing bankruptcy-related loan accounts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with internal teams, borrowers, attorneys, and trustees. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of mortgage servicing regulations, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process bankruptcy notifications, court filings, and legal documents related to mortgage loans
  • Prepare and file proofs of claim, motions, reaffirmation agreements, and other bankruptcy-related documents
  • Monitor bankruptcy cases to ensure compliance with court requirements and timelines
  • Communicate with borrowers, attorneys, trustees, and internal departments regarding account status
  • Update mortgage servicing systems accurately and maintain complete, compliant documentation
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable federal and state regulations throughout the bankruptcy process

Basic Qualifications
  • Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with mortgage servicing software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations, including RESPA, TILA, TRID, ECOA, HMDA, FDCPA, and CFPB guidelines
