Job description

As a Marketing Technology Applications Manager for Email and Journey Platforms, you will help own the operational health and evolution of the technology that powers AWS email and B2B customer journeys. This includes Adobe Marketo Engage, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B, and the APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and delivery services that connect them.
This is a hands-on technical individual contributor role embedded within Channel Technology and Operations. You will balance production application support with platform modernization

You will diagnose complex incidents, improve monitoring and operational controls, maintain critical integrations, and partner with product and engineering teams to evolve AWS from its current Marketo-centered environment toward more modern, reliable, and scalable journey capabilities.
You will serve as a technical bridge between marketers, operations, product, engineering, security, data teams, and Adobe. The successful candidate combines deep marketing automation expertise with strong application-management, integration, and incident-response skills.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a technical subject-matter expert for Marketo, AEP, AJO B2B, and the broader email and journey technology ecosystem.
Provide hands-on application support for complex platform, campaign-processing, data, integration, and email-delivery issues.
Lead technical incident response, including triage, impact assessment, vendor escalation, recovery validation, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action tracking.
Improve platform observability through telemetry, monitoring, alerting, synthetic testing, operational dashboards, and documented runbooks.
Own or support integrations between marketing platforms and upstream and downstream systems using APIs, webhooks, data pipelines, and event-based services.
Diagnose data-flow issues involving profiles, accounts, contacts, audiences, consent, campaign membership, and journey activation.
Partner with product and engineering teams to define the modernization roadmap for email and B2B journey capabilities.
Establish technical readiness gates for AEP and AJO B2B, including architecture reviews, integration testing, performance validation, operational support, and rollback planning.
Support migrations, platform upgrades, feature releases, and technology deprecations through disciplined change management and regression testing.
Identify recurring support issues and convert them into durable product, automation, self-service, or process improvements.
Maintain platform configuration, access controls, data quality, technical documentation, and operational standards.
Partner with Adobe and internal engineering teams to resolve defects and influence product improvements.
Translate marketer and customer needs into clear technical requirements while setting realistic platform expectations.
Develop documentation and enablement that improves self-service without shifting complex technical ownership back to marketers
