Job description

English Job Summary:

The Bilingual Regional Sales Manager owns all sales activities within the defined region of responsibility and is
the key to developing, strengthening and maintaining existing and new customer relationships in order
to generate sales growth for the complete SAMSON portfolio of products and services. This includes
holding face-to-face customer interactions, facilitating lunch and learns, resolving customer service
issues, following up on proposal activities, as well as understanding the customer applications and
requirements. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling
the full range of products and services to achieve and surpass their targets in their respective regions
of responsibility as well as carrying out their respective business plans and following corporate
strategy. In this role, the Regional Sales Manager is also required to interact and support the sales
channel that operates within the defined region and to liaise with and support and collaborate with
other departments, always in the pursuit of customer service excellence.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


Provide Customer Service Excellence:
Grow opportunities pipeline and sales for the defined region
Communicate & collaborate directly and pro-actively with existing and new customers and Sales Channel
Plan and execute business development activities within defined region, including work towards adding SAMSON to customer Approved Manufacturer Lists (AMLs) and guide form specifications
Lead and opportunity management and qualify companies within the defined region
Track all customer communication in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program
Conduct Sales Meetings, Lunch & Learns, as required
Attend customer visits scheduled by the sales channel, as required
Follow-up on all proposals directly or in collaboration with the Inside Sales Team and sales channel
Attend webinars, meetings and training, as required
Complete expense reports on a monthly basis using online tools
Plan territory coverage in the most time efficient manner possible

Provide technical support with documentation, drawings, customer training, site visits and demonstrations
Promote and educate clients on the SAMSON portfolio of products, services, and solutions
Collaboration with other regional sales managers, sales leadership, and other departments


Other Duties:
Comply with OHSA, company policies and procedures, and safety practices to ensure the safety of every worker performing on duty to SAMSON
Adhere to SAMSON's Quality standards and code of conduct policy
Participate in all company required training
Other duties as assigned by management


QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in Industrial or Process Automation sales (5+ years)
Technical knowledge of Valves, Actuators, and other control components a preference
Managing sales cycles between 6 weeks and 2 years
Previous experience managing a defined region with direct accounts and sales channels
Previous experience utilizing a CRM with all customer interactions
An energetic self-starter with the desire to achieve challenging objectives and think outside of the box
Advanced oral and written communication in English and French with strong presentation skills
Strong Customer Service orientation and skillset
Problem-solving skills and adaptability to deal with conflicts, setbacks and change
Detail-oriented person with analytical ability and listening skills and an innovative problem solver
Strong MS Office knowledge and computer skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong organizational skills to deal with occasional heavy workloads and multi-tasking
Valid Canadian Drivers license


Required Education:
Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in Business, or engineering, or equivalent


Description of the Work Environment:
Home Office, Office, and visits to customer operations or production facilities


Required Travel:
50-80% away from the office but within defined region, 20-30% overnight trips within Canada.

Possibility of overseas travel


Work Schedule:
8:30am to 5:00pm, but hours will vary according to the requirements of sales activities

RESPONSABILITES PRINCIPALES


Fournir un service a la clientele d'excellence :
Developper le pipeline d'occasions et accroitre les ventes pour la region definie
Communiquer et collaborer directement et de facon proactive avec les clients actuels et nouveaux ainsi qu'avec le canal de vente
Planifier et executer des activites de developpement des affaires dans la region definie, y compris travailler a l'ajout de SAMSON aux listes de fabricants approuves (AML) des clients et orienter les specifications de formulaire
Assurer la gestion des pistes et des occasions et qualifier les entreprises dans la region definie
Consigner toutes les communications avec les clients dans le programme de gestion de la relation client (CRM)
Tenir des reunions de vente et des seances lunch & learn , au besoin
Participer aux visites clients planifiees par le canal de vente, au besoin
Assurer le suivi de toutes les propositions, directement ou en collaboration avec l'equipe des ventes internes et le canal de vente
Participer a des webinaires, reunions et formations, au besoin
Soumettre les rapports de depenses mensuellement au moyen d'outils en ligne
Planifier la couverture du territoire de la maniere la plus efficace possible en termes de temps
Fournir un soutien technique (documentation, dessins, formation aux clients, visites sur site et demonstrations)
Promouvoir et informer les clients au sujet du portefeuille SAMSON de produits, services et solutions
Collaborer avec les autres directeurs regionaux des ventes, la direction des ventes et les autres services

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience prealable en vente dans le domaine de l'automatisation industrielle ou des procedes (5 ans ou plus)
