Skillsoft Global Knowledge is seeking an experienced Channel Account Executive who will recruit, onboard and enable Channel Partners including Strategic Alliances, Resellers, Distributors and Global System Integrators. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and nurture relationships, attract new business partners, mutually grow existing partners and create new go-to-market programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

As a successful Channel Account Executive, you will build on your entrepreneurial spirit and will be expected to meet and exceed annual sales targets. You will be expected to professionally represent Skillsoft Global Knowledge in presentations and briefings and conduct demonstrations and training on our products and services to partner team members. You will leverage your experience, knowledge and network with partners and effectively position Skillsoft Global Knowledge offerings to present a strong value proposition to grow our market share through our channel partners. Specifically you will be responsible for: 

  • Creating new programs and revenue opportunities for Skillsoft Global Knowledge and channel partners by selling core IT training and business skill solutions 
  • Prioritizing activities to ensure optimum penetration and profitability, including developing strategic partner plans and executive sponsorships 
  • Developing and maintaining key decision maker relationships within the channel partner and strategic alliance accounts 
  • Work closely with the Regional Vice President of Sales, Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to target and drive new business opportunities and win deals 
  • Understanding and uncovering strategic and critical needs within our partner strategy and product positioning that requires market, channel or customer education 
  • Developing strong relationships within business units of partners and vendors to understand the new product development roadmaps and potential opportunities to leverage training internally and with their customers 
  • Attend tradeshow and strategic events to help grow partner and customer awareness and sales growth 
  • Manage Partner contract terms and conditions and ensure compliance 
  • Prepare written proposals and deliver oral presentations to partners and other stakeholders 
  • Setting and executing channel account strategy, provide intel on partner pain points, investments, and competitive landscape 
  • Stepping back from day-to-day activities in order to view the business from different perspectives and coming up with new approaches 
  • Bringing discipline, focus and accountability around key performance indicators 
  • Collaborate with Skillsoft Global Knowledge team mates to assist in new partner onboarding including marketing, sales, support, operations and legal

Skills & Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience selling to Channel Partners in an outbound sales role with Post-secondary education or equivalent 
  • Ability to build and maintain client and partner relationships with robust channel and/or partner management experience, ideally having also worked in direct sales 
  • Proficient in software skills in Salesforce, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as AI tools like Microsoft CoPilot 
  • Knowledge of corporate education and training market 
  • Familiarity of leading and emerging technology solutions 
  • Proven track record identifying, developing and growing channel sales within a high-tech sector 
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to close professional services solutions 
  • Successful execution of a well-defined partner strategy for a technology company
  • Excellent communication and polished and effective public speaking and presentation skills 
  • Professional business writing skills (reports, letters, emails, proposals
  • Working across a global matrix organization is a plus

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $125,000- $135,000 annualized with average on target earnings includingcommissions of approximately $250,000-$270,000 annualized.
