Job Description

The Senior Specialist, Change Management will play a key role in ensuring projects meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This person will focus on the people side of change, responsible for creating and implementing change management strategies and plans. This includes, but is not limited to, change management planning, communication strategy and execution, stakeholder adoption, training curriculum design/maintenance, and creation and maintenance of training courses and course assets. The Senior Specialist, Change Management role will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency which will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute multiple change management strategies in support of project efforts, including consistent and integrated change management, communications, and training plans. Apply structured Change Management methodology to small-scale initiatives.
  • The Senior Specialist, Change Management position will be accountable to the Associate Director of Change Management, Training and Communications in the Finance Shared Services Organization. The key impact of this role is to ensure meaningful, impactful Change Management activities to drive the effectiveness of multiple cross-functional projects.
  • Collaboration with broader Cross Functional Teams, Stakeholder and Change Management Team on various projects to build integrated plans and ensure timely delivery of deliverables to support business needs.
  • Conduct change impact analysis across people, process and technology dimensions, risk assessments, change readiness assessments to improve people ROI and successfully lead people through transitions
  • Build relationships as trusted partner with leadership team and project leads to identify and address gaps.
  • Defines and measures success criteria and monitors Change Management progress
  • Ability to write and edit engaging and visually appealing communications in support of related projects and targeted process area coordinating with Director Change Manager, where needed (i.e.: project communications, success stories/wins, executive summaries, blog posts, presentations) Supports the design, development, and deployment of training courses and associated course assets leveraging eLearning and blended solutions
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of training curriculum by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes.
  • Utilizes standard communication and training templates and processes (i.e.: SharePoint and/or shared drive, Captivate)
  • Ensures all change management, training and communication deliverables are in alignment with AbbVie Branding guidelines; formats/packages and organizes assets prior to delivery.
  • Works with Director Change Management, Training, & Communications to identify and pursue related initiatives that will improve internal communications, promote employee engagement, and support/promote company culture and shared values. Leverage available metrics and reports to identify Change Management opportunities to better support and drive model adoption and improve collaboration. Works closely with the Training Logistics team to ensure timely and accurate training and documentation

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree with 6 years of experience OR Masters Degree and 5 years of experience OR PhD and 0 years of experience in related field.
  • Change Management Methodology Certification Preferred (e.g.: PROSCI Certification, ACMP Certification, or Managed Change Certification)
  • Analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
  • Proven ability to adapt communication style for a variety of modes as well as for multicultural audiences.
  • Strong command of the English language and effective communication skills with employees at any level in the organization, including executives, are a must.
  • Strong group facilitation experience and written communication.
