Job description

This is a temporary position. 

JOB SUMMARY

 As part of Marriott's Change Management and Associate Engagement team, the Flex Director, Change Management and Associate Engagement will lead change management and communications on behalf of a large, global finance organization transformation.

This individual contributor will collaborate with change management leads across an integrated program of transformation initiatives to deliver a cohesive enterprise change management strategy and narrative. They will also lead cross-initiative stakeholder management and communications to ensure alignment across stakeholder engagement for finance leadership and highly impacted stakeholders.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience 

 

Required

  • 4-year degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university required
  • 8+ years' experience leading change management, stakeholder engagement, or communications for business transformation initiatives
  • Experience working with finance or delivering change management for finance transformation
  • Demonstrated success working with and influencing cross-functional work teams in a matrix organization
  • Proven track record consulting to business leaders and designing, developing, and implementing high-impact change and communications solutions in large organizations, using a variety of delivery methodologies
  • Ability to develop client-ready material and communicate effectively to a broad range of stakeholders (including senior leaders and hotel associates)
  • Strong writer with experience developing and presenting impactful communications and other materials 

Preferred

  • Advanced degree a plus
  • PROSCI or other change management accreditation
  • Hospitality/lodging industry experience a plus

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

  • Develop and deliver change management and engagement plan for organizational transformation efforts, working across internal teams and third-party support. 
  • Consolidate change impact analyses and stakeholder assessments across integrated program to develop overarching personas, change impacts, and change journeys to define stakeholder engagement needs.
  • Execute a change and communications plan that effectively conveys the vision, benefits, and progress of the integrated transformation efforts by audience ranging from senior leaders to frontline associates. 
  • Support development of transformation narrative and key messaging, as well as supporting written communications, talking points, speaking notes, and FAQs. 
  • Partner with Change Management Leads, HR Business Partner(s), and Organizational Capability to help identify risks, resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement specific plans to mitigate/address concerns. 
  • Work closely with initiative change leads to tailor deliverables and ensure consistent global message across the program. 
  • Measure the effectiveness of change management and deployment efforts; set targets, track results and create plans to improve programs.
