The Opportunity
The Document Control Lead ๏ฟฝ Engineering is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the document control processes that support engineering, manufacturing, and quality operations at Integra Mission Critical. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, accessibility, and compliance of all controlled documents throughout their lifecycle, including creation, revision, distribution, and archival. Serving as the process owner for document control within engineering, this position drives standardization, system effectiveness, and compliance with company policies and industry requirements. The Document Control Lead partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Operations teams to ensure documentation supports efficient manufacturing, product consistency, and audit readiness.
What you will do?
  • Manage the full lifecycle of controlled engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical records, ensuring documents are accurate, current, and properly version-controlled.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain document control procedures and systems to support accessibility, traceability, and compliance across the organization.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with internal policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements, proactively monitoring for changes and updating processes as needed.
  • Oversee document revisions, approvals, distribution, and archival while maintaining structured tracking systems to ensure proper version control and document integrity.
  • Lead and support document control personnel by providing guidance, training, and direction, and serve as the primary point of contact for document control-related inquiries and escalations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on documentation requirements, engineering changes, and release processes.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, address findings, and implement corrective actions related to document control processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, system enhancements, and standardization to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on document control systems, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent adoption across teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational and operational objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in document control within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
  • Experience supporting engineering documentation, change management, and release processes.
  • 2+ years of experience in a lead or process ownership role preferred.
  • Experience participating in audits and compliance activities preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred; associate's degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
  • Strong understanding of document control principles, version control, and lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical records.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
  • Certification in Document Control, Records Management, or Quality Systems preferred; Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to develop and implement standardized processes and systems.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
