Job description

Job Position: Change Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to lead the engineering change process for hardware products. In this role, you will manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure product changes are accurately documented and implemented. The ideal candidate has experience with PLM systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive change across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering changes from initiation through implementation.
  • Coordinate and track ECRs, ECOs, approvals, and implementation timelines.
  • Facilitate change review boards and cross-functional meetings.
  • Ensure change documentation, BOMs, and product records are accurate and up to date.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to execute changes efficiently.
  • Maintain document control, revision management, and PLM data integrity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to change control and product lifecycle management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering Change Management, Configuration Management, Document Control, PLM, or a related field.
  • Experience managing ECR/ECO processes in a hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of BOM management, document control, and product lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with PLM systems (Arena, Agile, Duro, or similar); NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.69/hr.
