Job description

Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview of Role

The Senior Electrical Engineer serves as a technical expert responsible for advanced electrical system design of control panels and integrated thermal systems. This role leads complex projects, ensures regulatory compliance, drives platform development and standardization activities, and supports customer engagement and mentors junior engineers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design of complex control panels and integrated thermal systems.
  • Lead projects to drive product extension and/or standardization activities.
  • Author and validate P&IDs, schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, test documentation, manuals, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Interpret customer specifications and develop compliant system solutions.
  • Specify components and instrumentation in accordance with customer requirements, applicable codes, and cost requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC, CE, IEC, ATEX, and hazardous area requirements.
  • Generate cost estimates and support internal and external quotation activities.
  • Review supplier quotations for technical adequacy and compliance.
  • Support manufacturing supplier escalations, troubleshooting and validation testing.
  • Collaborate with heater designers, product specialists and account managers to develop optimized system solutions.
  • Lead design reviews and ensure design for manufacturability principles are applied.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6–8+ years of industrial electrical design experience.
  • Strong experience designing and supporting power and control panels.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical codes and hazardous area classifications as they pertain to control panel design and integration.
  • Experience with customer-facing technical discussions.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks Electrical, Eplan, or equivalent design tools.
