Position Overview:

The Next Gen Coordinator serves as a central execution and coordination role supporting the operational

readiness, administrative flow, and logistical execution of Change Church’s Next Gen ministries across

campuses.

This role exists to ensure that systems, schedules, resources, communication, and ministry logistics are

executed with excellence and consistency—freeing the Next Gen Director, Next Gen Youth Pastors, and

Next Gen Kids Director to focus on pastoral leadership, ministry development, and strategic oversight.

The Next Gen Coordinator functions as an operational and administrative partner to the central Next Gen

leadership team, ensuring that Next Gen environments are prepared, resourced, and supported week after

week.

In addition to supporting central Next Gen operations, this role provides hands-on coordination support

for the DeKalb Campus Change Kidz Ministry in partnership with the Next Gen Kids Director, helping

ensure volunteer alignment, ministry readiness, and consistent execution of Next Gen ministry standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities


General Expectations:

Central Next Gen Operational Support

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Next Gen Family Pastor, Next Gen Youth Director, and Next Gen Kids Director.
  • Translate ministry priorities into task lists, timelines, and follow-up items.
  • Prepare schedules, materials, and documentation for meetings, initiatives, and ministry rhythms.
  • Track assigned deliverables and ensure timely follow-through across Next Gen initiatives.
  • Assist with planning logistics and coordination for Next Gen events, retreats, camps, and special gatherings.

Curriculum Distribution & Resource Coordination

  • Manage the organization and distribution of finalized curriculum and ministry resources across campuses.
  • Coordinate curriculum rollout timelines with campus Next Gen teams.
  • Maintain resource libraries, documentation, and version control for Next Gen materials.
  • Gather feedback from campus teams and relay implementation insights to Next Gen leadership.

Champions Club & Specialized Environment Support

  • Provide coordination and logistical support for Champions Club environments.
  • Assist with volunteer scheduling, communication, and resource preparation.
  • Help ensure ministry environments are equipped and aligned with established standards.

DeKalb Kids Ministry Support

  • Provide coordination and operational support for the DeKalb Kids Ministry in partnership with the Next Gen Kids Director.
  • Assist with volunteer scheduling, communication, and coordination for DeKalb children’s ministry environments.
  • Assist with scheduling, communication, and resource preparation for Change Littles programming for Sundays and all other assigned ministry events/gatherings. .
  • Support weekly ministry readiness by helping ensure classrooms, curriculum, supplies, and environments are prepared.
  • Facilitate communication between central Next Gen leadership and DeKalb volunteers to ensure alignment with Next Gen ministry systems and standards.
  • Assist with operational problem-solving and logistical needs during the preparation and execution of weekly ministry environments.

Administrative & Systems Support

  • Manage calendars, schedules, and logistics for Next Gen initiatives and meetings.
  • Process purchase requests and track orders for Next Gen ministry supplies.
  • Maintain organized documentation for policies, ministry workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with reporting needs and data tracking for Next Gen ministry activities.


Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Media, Marketing, Worship, Facilities, and Operations teams as needed to support Next Gen initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for Next Gen-related events and ministry gatherings.
  • Help ensure timely communication between central Next Gen leadership and campus ministry teams.
