Job description

Lead revenue cycle innovation and operational excellence as Director of Patient Financial Services and Health Information at Faith Health in Norfolk, Nebraska!

The Position

The Director of Patient Financial Services and Health Information will provide strategic and operational leadership across Faith Health's revenue cycle functions, including Health Information Management (HIM), coding, Patient Access, hospital and physician billing, central scheduling, Patient Financial Services, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), and revenue cycle analytics.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director will oversee approximately 90 FTEs and seven direct reports.
Key priorities will include ensuring strong and consistent revenue cycle performance, maintaining healthy cash flow, completing the ongoing charge master review, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through Epic optimization, automation, and emerging AI capabilities. The Director will also evaluate vendor relationships to identify opportunities to strengthen performance and maximize organizational value.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, engaging, and self-directed leader who builds strong partnerships across departments and leads with a balance of support and accountability. This individual will be skilled at mentoring and developing leaders, navigating change thoughtfully, recognizing team successes, and knowing when to challenge the status quo to drive continued improvement.
This position requires a highly visible, full-time onsite leadership presence.

Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Graduation from an American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)-accredited program preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive healthcare management experience required, with demonstrated expertise in accounts receivable, Patient Financial Services, and Health Information Management.
  • Broad revenue cycle experience required, including hospital and physician billing, with a strong understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle operations. Epic experience is strongly preferred.
