Position Overview
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. This role requires initiative, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to health equity. Responsibilities include:
• Conducting patient-centered histories and assessments
• Measuring and recording vital signs
• Administering medications, vaccines, and immunizations
• Collecting lab specimens
• Supporting interdisciplinary care planning and coordination
• Assisting providers with exams and procedures
• Delivering care in alignment with CHA's standards of nursing practice
Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited licensed practical school of nursing
• Massachusetts LPN License required
• American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification required
• At least 1 year experience preferred
• Knowledge of a second language preferred
