Request ID: 55917-1 Title: SQL Developer Locations: Washington, DC 20581 (Hybrid) Duration: 6 Months - Contract with possible extension Rate Range: $50 - $57/Hour on W2 (All inclusive) Clearance: Active Public Trust or other active clearance Summary: A junior-level SQL Developer contractor to our ongoing development, maintenance, and data engineering team. We support the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Data Engineering and Processing (DEAP) project by providing analyses, solutions and maintenance of many processes that ingest financial market data used across multiple CFTC regulatory and analytical systems, including high volume, mission critical data ingest pipelines. These processes and the data ingested are critical to the mission of the CFTC. This position requires up to three (3) specific days onsite in the Washington DC facility and two (2) teleworking days per week. This is a "contract/temp-to-hire" position in that Peraton desires to convert a successfully performing contractor to a Peraton employee according to their agency's conversion agreement. What You Will Do: โ€ข Serve as a member of an Agile team to provide engineering support and maintenance of services and processes that migrate and promote data and algorithms to the AWS cloud environment and supporting cloud databases. โ€ข Design, code, test and implement AWS cloud-based solutions in SQL โ€ข Work with the customer and Peraton team on requirements gathering and task estimation. โ€ข Perform routine data checks, code development and quality checks. โ€ข Support database planning, design and implementation โ€ข Support systems analysis, design and implementation โ€ข Support code reviews and cloud deployments โ€ข Provide regular status updates on progress both within the Agile framework and via weekly status reporting. Required qualifications: โ€ข Bachelor's degree in computer science and 3 years of experience or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years of experience โ€ข Familiar with tools such as AWS Cloud databases using SQL Server โ€ข Experience with Python, XML Preferred Qualifications: โ€ข Active Public Trust or other active clearance โ€ข Master's degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics or related field and 2 years of experience โ€ข Bachelor's Degree is a plus โ€ข Experience working in an Agile software development environment. โ€ข Experience in ETL process using AWS resources โ€ข Industry XML data exchange message formats, required modifications, or extensions โ€ข Experience/knowledge of XML, FIXML, or FPML is a plus โ€ข AWS developer experience โ€ข Financial Industry experience is a plus
