Job description

Financial Planning Strategist
(*this role is also availble in Seattle, WA)

Looking to join one of the fastest growing RIAs that's passionate about serving our clients with industry leading financial planning? In this role, you will join a skilled team that partners closely with our advisors to transform financial data into actionable, life-changing advice for our clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Our advisors bring on thousands of new clients on an annual basis. Every new client receives tailored financial planning advice to help them navigate their goals. This is achieved through the members of our centralized planning department partnering with the advisors to analyze client financial data and create tailored financial strategies for new clients.
  • You will serve as an expert in all areas of financial planning (cash flow, retirement, investments, tax planning, estate planning, and risk management) when partnering with the advisors on new client cases.
  • Review client documents (investment statements, tax returns, insurance and estate documents) to identify opportunities and build out detailed cash flow-based plans through our eMoney planning software.
  • Each Financial Planning Strategist is responsible for completing hundreds of new client cases each year. This will require strong attention to detail, the ability to stay organized, and leverage technology to maximize efficiency when managing workflow.

Why You'll Love This Role:

  • Impact - You'll see the direct results of your work as families gain financial peace of mind.
  • Growth - Clear career paths, mentorship, and training to help you advance within the company.
  • Variety - Every client story is unique, so no two days are ever the same.
  • Culture - We're collaborative, fun, and passionate about doing the right thing-for our clients and for the company.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field. Advanced certifications are a plus.
  • CFP designation (or actively working toward obtaining the CFP designation*). *Must be obtained within 18 months from being hired into the position
  • 5+ years' experience in financial services (minimum of 2 years required) or equivalent experience in a client-facing role involving strategic analysis and proposals.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning, tax strategies, investments, and risk management.

Who You Are:

  • Detail-oriented and driven by excellence.
  • A strong communicator who can simplify complex concepts.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and always eager to learn.
  • Able to balance multiple projects and deadlines with ease.

What They Offer:

Our client invests in people the same way we invest in our clients-thoughtfully and for the long term. You'll enjoy:

  • Competitive salary plus bonus potential.
  • Benefit package includes health (medical, dental, and vision insurance), FSA and/or HSA plans, group and voluntary life/accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, long-term disability insurance (LTD), a 401(k) plan with an enhanced employer match, including pre-tax, Roth and after-tax contributions, as well as generous holiday and paid time off policies.
  • CFP continuing education and tuition reimbursement.
  • Career development programs and leadership training.
