Course: Estate Planning and Special Topics
his course includes principles of family estate planning and client communication. Estate planning documents, gifting strategies, incapacity planning, property ownership, transfer methods, and taxation are covered. Students learn aspects of client communication and psychology, including principles of nonverbal communication, counseling, and the impact of planner and client values, attitudes, and biases. Money conflicts and crisis situations are also discussed.
What You Will Do:
  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

What You Will Bring:
  • PhD Financial Planning or JD with LLM in Estate Planning or Elder Law.
  • Minimum: JD with experience in estate planning, or Master's in Financial Planning, Financial Services, Finance, Taxation, or related field with professional designation such as CFP(R), EA, or CPA.
