Job Summary:

Weโ€™re seeking a strategic, hands-on CFO to lead finance and accounting for a growing government contractor. This executive role has direct influence on company strategy and operations, with full accountability for financial performance, compliance, and long-term planning. The ideal candidate will bring deep government contracting expertise, CFA-level financial knowledge, and a track record of driving operational efficiency and sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive financial strategy, forecasting, and reporting to support executive decision-making
  • Lead all finance, accounting, and treasury functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability
  • Ensure DCAA/DCMA audit readiness and compliance with FAR, DFARS, and CAS
  • Oversee contract pricing, indirect rate strategy, development of annual forward-looking rate proposals, and complex contract financials
  • Lead cash flow management, capital planning, and risk oversight
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing finance and accounting team
  • Support strategic initiatives including M&A, investor relations, and operational optimization
Requirements:

The CFO role requires:

  • CFA designation or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership in government contract finance
  • Expert in GAAP, DCAA/DCMA regulations, FAR, DFARS, and CAS
  • Proven experience with cost-reimbursable, T&M, and Firm-Fixed-Price contracts
  • Advanced financial systems proficiency (Unanet a plus)
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills
  • U.S. citizenship required
