Job description

Job Summary:
Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Data Analyst who will support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) in Dahlgren, VA. The role involves performing data analysis, quality assurance reviews, and providing recommendations to improve training processes.
Responsibilities:
• Perform CeTARS Corporate functions and quality assurance data reviews to include SCSTC Course Identification Number (CIN) and Course Data Processing (CDP) establishments and deactivations with supporting documentation, class schedule planning and entry, quota distribution, as well as problem identification and resolution.
• Analyze data and detect trends as well as summarize findings, draw conclusions and develop presentations.
• Perform reviews of Navy Training Project Plans (TPP) and provide recommendations and comments in written reports.
• Assist in annual review of training requirements in support of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process.
• Perform review of Training Phasing Matrices and provide recommendations to reduce Student Awaiting Instruction times for incoming SCSTC accessions students.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must have a High School diploma and at least 3 years’ experience reviewing, updating and evaluating Navy Training Management corporate database systems, including CeTARS and/or FLTMPS.
• Experience in development and delivery of both working and executive level briefs.
• Significant job-related proficiency in the development and use of Microsoft Office Excel and/or Access documents, including intermediate to advanced use of formulas and functions.
• Practical experience in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance.
Preferred:
• Prefer a BA Degree and at least 4 years related experience OR Associates and at least 8 years related experience OR HS Diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years technical or operational experience.
• Experience in supporting the Navy’s Program Objective Memorandum process.
• Ability to work independently on assignments as a member of a larger team and clearly communicate customer requirements while staying focused on primary goals.
• The ability to work integrally within a team and meet tight product delivery deadlines.
• Highly motivated, proactive and flexible demeanor desired.
• Practical experience in building and modifying analytical queries and interactive dashboards within Business Intelligence applications, such as Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), experience with the use of data visualization platforms, such as Power BI or with government-approved AI models, such as GenAI.mil
