Position Overview


Valor Specialized Rigging, a division of Americrane Rentals, is seeking experienced Certified Riggers to support industrial, commercial, and construction lifting operations throughout the San Antonio and Austin markets. We are looking for safety-minded professionals who take pride in precision, teamwork, and executing complex lifts correctly the first time.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all rigging operations in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Inspect rigging gear (slings, shackles, spreader bars, hardware) prior to use
  • Collaborate with crane operators, supervisors, and lift directors
  • Safely rig loads for hoisting and placement
  • Follow lift plans and engineered rigging procedures when applicable
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Participate in safety meetings, tool box talks, and job briefings
  • Recognize and report hazards and unsafe conditions


Qualifications:

  • NCCCO, NCCER, or equivalent rigger certification (required)
  • Minimum of 2+ years of rigging experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of load charts and rigging principles
  • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
  • Must be physically capable of lifting, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
