Job description

As a Strategic Analytics Associate, you'll work with the risk team to generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations to the business concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain segmentation strategies to determine the optimal price point for a given segment of prospects/customers 

  • Establish a robust price testing framework working with product owners to enable quick learnings and driven strategy optimization

  • Work with Credit modeling team to constantly innovate and build better risk/profit maximization models leveraging both internal and external data

  • Effectively monitor the first order impacts and other related knock on effects to inform strategy adjustments. This would include but not limited to performing quantitative analysis of customer credit card behaviors, revenue drivers, and expense drivers to develop present value forecasts of various investment alternatives. 

  • Partner closely with other strategy areas of Risk, Marketing, and Finance to coordinate integration of risk appetite framework into credit strategies. 

  • Support launch of new products and channels by evaluating loss, profitability and anticipated behavior given the product constructs 

  • Support ongoing internal and external audits by maintaining strong controls and documentation

  • Provide consistent framework to assess loss and profitability dynamics associated with credit decisions in normal as well as stressed economic scenarios. 

  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely delivery and manage stake holders expectations

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • MS degree
  • BS degree and minimum 5 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience required
  • Background in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field required
  • Advanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree software
  • Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
  • Familiarity with risk analytic techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience delivering recommendations to management

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • 3+ years in quantitative experience preferred
