Certified Medical Assistant

The Central Jersey Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center looking to hire a full time Certified Medical Assistant. Established in the year 2002, the JRMC has locations in Perth Amboy, Carteret, Newark, NJ. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our Certified Medical Assistants. Responsibilities

Rooming patients Obtaining laboratory/radiology/ER/hospital reports prior to provider seeing patient if it pertains to visit and any records upon provider request raw blood if needed, Immunization entry (old and new) in the patient's EMR and NJIIS. Perform EKG and waived laboratory testing and enter results in EMR. Pre-visit prep on all patients for scheduled provider (labs, imaging, consultation reports, etc.)Administer Injectable Medications with physician order. Complete portion of medical forms Complete record release forms in EMR to obtain records from another office/facility. Set-up and Clean-up patient examination rooms on daily basis. Ensure rooms are well-equipped with necessary supplies. Check on medical supplies. Maintain laboratory logs of patient testing Assist the Provider and RN in facilitating patient flow. Maintain a respectful and professional attitude toward all staff and patients.

Qualifications
  • Diploma from a technical school/ and national certification from an accredited association (AAMA,NCCT, NHA, NRCMA).
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of EHR database software.
  • Valid CPR National Certification in Medical Assisting (AAMA,NCCT, NHA, NRCMA).
  • Speak, read, write Spanish fluently.
