Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders
  • Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis
  • Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals
  • Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution
  • Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
